Obituary – George Wayne Schumann

George Wayne Schumann, 84, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center. Mr. Schumann was an elder at First Christian Church, a member of the Rotary Club, a member of the Walking Horse Breeders Assoc. and Bedford County Cancer Board of Directors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Theodore Schumann; and brother, Timothy Schumann;
Mr. Schumann is survived by his wife, Iris Jones Schumann; sons, Mark Anthony Schumann (Nimet) and Erik Wayne Schumann (Kim); sister, Marylyn Schumann Tobey (Gene); and sister-in-law, Debra Jones; grandchildren, Hannah Schumann, Kiley Schumann, Aaliyah Schumann, and Mia Schumann; great grandson, Wyatt.
The memorial service was Sunday, October 5, 2025, at First Christian Church in Florence Pat Parvin officiated
