Walking Horse Trainers Association Horse of the Year Committee Announces Changes to the 2025 Program
Thursday, March 13, 2025
Walking Horse Trainers Association Horse of the Year committee would like to announce some changes to the Horse of the Year program for 2025. World Champion and World Grand Champions will still be automatic nominees with the added requirement of having to been shown at least 3 times in their division during the show year. Also instead of 10 nominees in each division there will only be 5 nominees for 2025, and these remaining nominees will be required to have shown a minimum of 3 times. The balance of the nominees will be selected from the high point report results as was done in 2024. If anyone has any questions please reach out to any of the Horse of the year committee members which includes Rod Slagle, Chairman, Brad Beard, Keegan Meadows, Laurie Toone and Link Webb.
