Obituary – Donald Dunivan

Donald S. Dunivan, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1937, to the late Clayton Wilson & Alene Jones Dunivan. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and he attended Brogan Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. Dunivan loved riding horses and showing Tennessee Walking Horses. He worked for Lincoln Paving for A.J. Stevenson for twenty-one years, Jim Arnold Farm for ten years and Fayetteville Public Utilities for twenty years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Teddy Mack “Spike” Dunivan; one sister: Jean Neely; three brothers: Alton Dunivan, Jerry Dunivan and Tommy Dunivan; and one sister-in-law: Ruby Dunivan.
Mr. Dunivan is survived by his wife: Joyce Warren Dunivan; two step-daughters: Kerri Ashley McElroy and Kim Cowan (Billy) Renfroe; one step-son: Steve (Manon) Cowan; seven step-grandchildren: Devin (Hannah) Renfroe, Skylar (Emily) Renfroe, Austin Cowan, Aiden Cowan, Kileigh McElroy, Keira McElroy and Kaelin McElroy; two step great-grandchildren: River Renfroe and Denver Renfroe; one sister: Janie Overcast; one brother: Jimmy Dunivan; and three sisters-in-law: Michelle Dunivan, Francis Dunivan and Dean Dunivan.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Gay and Rev. Joe Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
