Obituary – Susan Dean

Susan (Sue) Jane Dean, 67, of Beechgrove TN passed away on February 9th, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family. Sue was born on February 18, 1955 to W. Doyle and Joyce Walters in Bellville, OH. Sue is preceded in death by her son, Dustin Dean, her brother, Doug Walters, and her parents Doyle & Joyce Walters. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Billy Dean, her daughters Tiger Bratta (Dan) and Jayme Dean, and her grandchildren Katy, Danny, and Connor.
Sue was a skilled business woman owning her own insurance agency for 25 years, in addition to having a successful career in real estate. She was a life long lover of the Tennessee Walking Horse and enjoyed riding every opportunity she got. Aside from horses, Sue was an avid Tennessee Titans football fan - never missing a game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville if she could help it. Sue’s other passions included snow skiing and taking frequent trips to the beach in Okaloosa Island, FL with her friends and family. Her lively spirit will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Sue’s family will be holding a Celebration of Life at The White Dove in Beechgrove, TN on April 2, 2023 from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to organizations pursuing research for treatments of Alzheimer’s disease.
