TWHBEA CEO Mark Farrar opened the meeting with a state of TWHBEA type address. Farrar spoke to the pivotal numbers at TWHBEA and compared those to 2021, as well as a five-year average of that same number. |

Kathy Owen, age 68, passed away May 27, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was born in Cookeville and has lived in Murfreesboro for the past 33 years. She was a historian and enjoyed her employment at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro. |

The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration recently hired Travis Emore to be the Director of Arena Operations and Events. Emore will directly oversee the operations of Cooper Steel Arena, as well as also function as a member of the senior leadership team at The Celebration. Emore comes to The Celebration from Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro. |

President Bill Young is pleased to announce the Walking Horse Trainers’ Association office relocation to the historic Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration grounds has been completed. The new WHTA office is in the old Gift Shop building which has been home to Shane Shiflet Photography during the Celebration for the past several years. |
